Blood transfusion is an essential part of modern critical care medicine. Blood is the most precious and inimitable gift that one human can give to another. Blood donors are valuable resources. In the modern transfusion medicine, the process of separating blood components from whole blood is essential and made possible by the development of plastic bags. Because the blood gets easily perished, component separation and administration help in rationalizing the use of blood.

PIMS General Hospital Blood bank is licensed blood bank located in the Blood bank has an area of 3600 sq ft which is sufficient as per FDA norms. It well equipped and having sufficient qualified technical staff.

Our monthly blood collection on average is 250 to 300 units. 90{cf424a29f2fe4bf0f198f841a1c43d59146347ec46084be96c9476e6e6cb262f} of our collection is voluntary through various voluntary blood donation camps organized by various education institutes under STES.
